Intended for: Manager | Application: Web + Mobile Application
Employees can check for themselves after a shift ends whether the plan matched reality. This reduces your workload and gives you more accurate data.
Two approaches to approval
a) Employee approves only
The employee reviews and approves their completed shift. If the hours don't match, they contact the manager, who makes the correction.
The default employee access allows this. If you have set up a non-default access for the employee, you must configure approval manually — see the article How to give an employee access to approve their own attendance.
b) Employee edits their own attendance
The employee can directly edit their attendance after a shift ends. The manager can always see whether and how the employee made changes.
If you want to allow employees to edit, set the appropriate access for them — see the article How to give an employee access to edit their own attendance.
Time lock
Tip: Set a time lock (e.g. 48 h) during which retroactive edits can be made. The lock applies to both managers and employees. See the article Locking retroactive edits.
How to check employee approvals
How to review what employees have approved or edited — see the article How to check employee attendance approvals and edits.
