Intended for: Employee | Application: Web + Mobile Application
You record attendance in Dayswaps via an attendance terminal or the mobile app. The exact method depends on your employer's settings.
Attendance terminal
The terminal is a physical device located at the workplace. You use it to record both clock-in and clock-out. It most commonly works via:
NFC chip or barcode — you hold your card or badge up to it
PIN code — you enter your personal PIN
QR code — you scan a QR code from the Dayswaps mobile app
The terminal automatically records the clock-in or clock-out time and saves it to your attendance record.
Your manager will explain the exact way to log in to the terminal when you start.
Clock-in and clock-out via mobile app
If your employer allows attendance to be recorded via mobile:
1. Open the Dayswaps app.
2. On the main screen you will see a Clock in or Clock out button (depending on your current status).
3. Tap the button to record the time.
4. The app may ask you to confirm your location (geolocation).
After the shift ends — approving attendance
After each shift you can check the recorded time in the My Attendance section and approve it. See How to check and approve your attendance.
What to do if the terminal isn't working or you forgot to clock in
Contact your manager as soon as possible. Your manager can manually correct or add attendance records from the admin panel.
