Intended for: Manager | Application: Web + Mobile Application
Shift offers are open or unoccupied shifts that employees can apply for. First set up the offer system in Settings → Shift Offers, where you can also allow employees to manage exchanges partially on their own.
How to Put a Shift into an Offer
There are three ways:
A) From a Cancellation Request
An employee sends a shift cancellation request. After approval by the manager, the shift is automatically moved to the Offers row. The default deadline for submitting a cancellation request is 48 hours before the shift starts.
If no one applies for the released shift, it stays with the original employee.
B) Manual Move by Manager
A manager can manually move an unoccupied shift into an offer: grab the shift and drag it to the Offers row. In the displayed window, set:
who to notify (all employees / by position, experience or location / under the labor code)
whether to send a notification
C) Bulk Offer (Exchange)
For a larger number of unoccupied shifts at once, use the bulk offer feature — see the article Bulk Shift Offer.
Offer End Time
The offer ends by default 24 hours before the shift starts. If you post the offer less than 24 hours in advance, the end time is automatically set to 1 hour before the shift starts.
After the offer expires (if no one applied), the shift moves back to Unoccupied Shifts and the manager receives a notification.
The system updates offers approximately every 10 minutes — changes do not take effect immediately.
Approving Offers
The procedure for approving applications for offered shifts can be found in the article Approving Offers.
