After logging into Dayswaps, the manager sees the main application interface. This article guides you through the basic layout — where to find things and how to navigate the application.
Main screen — Calendar
Immediately after logging in, you see the Calendar. It is the central workspace for shift planning: adding, moving, and managing employee shifts. Add a new shift or absence via the + button in the top Calendar menu.
Left sidebar menu
All navigation is done via the left sidebar menu, which is divided into four main sections.
Calendar
Direct access back to the planning calendar.
Office
Administrative agenda of the business:
Attendance — overview of worked hours and reports
Reports — overviews and data exports (hours, overtime, employees, etc.)
Absence requests — approving and managing employee requests
Offers — managing shift swap offers
Business
Settings and structure of your organisation:
People — list of employees, their profiles and settings
Shift offers — overview of open shifts available for filling
Attributes — definition of positions, qualifications and other employee properties
Cycles — configuration of recurring shift cycles
Day requirement — shift combination templates for quick planning
Audit log — record of all changes made in the system
Settings
Management of the business's technical configuration:
Access — management of user roles and permissions
Modules — activation and deactivation of extension modules (e.g. Agenda, Attendance)
Billing — subscription and licence management

In the bottom right corner of the application you will always find the blue bubble — it is the direct entry point to the helpdesk chat, where we are happy to help.
