Why Is a Question Mark Displayed Next to an Employee's Hours?

Intended for: Manager | Application: Web Application

Below each employee's name in the calendar, hour statistics are displayed — hours worked, balancing period (BP), overtime. If you see a question mark or incorrect values instead of numbers, it is caused by the current calendar sorting setting.

Cause

A question mark or incorrect numbers appear if the calendar is sorted by Positions or Contract Type. With this sorting, the system cannot include all necessary data (e.g. absences), and therefore the values are either not displayed or are incomplete.

Solution

You have three options to resolve the situation:

Solution 1 — Change Sorting

Switch the calendar sorting to Name or Custom Sorting. The hour statistics will display correctly.

Solution 2 — Recalculate via Warning

If a warning notification appears, click the Recalculate button. This action always safely updates the displayed data — it does not overwrite or delete anything.

Solution 3 — Reports

Correct and complete hour values can always be found in the Office → Reports → Employees section, regardless of the sorting setting in the calendar.
