How to Delete Multiple Shifts at Once

Learn how to drag-select and bulk-delete multiple shifts or absences at once in the Dayswaps calendar, without deleting each record individually.

Intended for: Manager  |  Application: Web Application

Deleting can be done in bulk — no need to click through one shift at a time. This guide shows how to delete multiple shifts or absences in the calendar at once.

Steps

If you want to keep some records (shifts or absences) in the selected area, simply deselect them.

  1. Drag to select the area to delete — you'll see a blue frame.

  1. To keep some shifts, hold Ctrl (Mac: cmd) and click them — they return to their original colour, the rest stays blue.

  1. Right-click one of the blue shifts marked for deletion.

  2. In the quick menu, choose the trash icon — Delete.

  1. Confirm the deletion. The system shows a list of the selected records and lets you delete all / shifts / absences / unavailabilities.

Just like when you create shifts, deleted shifts also need to be published so the change appears in employees’ calendars. See How to Publish the Shift Schedule to Employees for the steps.
